Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne is generally known for his current style that’s been cemented over the years consisting of all black clothes with some blue lensed, round framed sunglasses. A style he found during his solo career. However, early in his Black Sabbath career Ozzy explores a number of styles. This is the era of Ozzy’s ‘hippy’ style that I take most of my inspiration from.

I got into Black Sabbath when I was around 20 years old and was instantly hooked. This musical obsession drove me to study the history of the band which is where I stumbled across many iconic pictures of Ozzy from the late 60s and early 70s. Still at an age of adolescence I immediately wanted to emulate my icon so set out to acquire some tattoos and grow out my hair.

Ozzy has always managed to be stylish and original but with a rock ‘n’ roll edge, something which I try to do with my own style.

Dane DeHaan

I first noticed Dane Dehaan in the film lawless where he plays the role of Cricket Pate. After seeing him in this film I decided to follow his career closely which involves several major film roles and a modelling campaign for Prada.

I began to follow Dane DeHaan on social media platforms and thus gained an insight into Danes own personal style and his further involvement in fashion campaigns, appearing in magazines such as Anotherman.

The way Dane conducts himself morally off the screen is also impeccable. He is a devoted husband and a loving father, he is very rarely, if ever seen spending lavishly or flaunting material possessions.

Finally, Danes hair is always effortlessly timeless, something that has inspired me to always try to incorporate in my own work.

Jared Leto

Jared Leto has been a big inspiration in my life from a young age. I saw him star in an old favourite film of mine ‘Panic Room’ which is the film that sparked my interest in one of my now favourite film directors David Fincher as well as my interest in Jared Leto’s career.

Jared’s band ‘Thirty Seconds To Mars’ were also one of my favourite bands as a teenager and this pushed me to explore his career in more ways than acting.

He’s always been very daring and original with the way he dresses at film premieres and also when he performs with thirty seconds to mars, which is something I admire greatly about him. His hair has always been a constant evolving part of his image, possibly due to his diverse acting roles, or maybe his individual character. His ever changing hairstyles is something I related to when I was younger having grown up constantly changing my hairstyles to the latest trend throughout my school life.

Mostly, it’s Jared’s work ethic and passion to do the best in everything he does, be that acting, music or fashion that has really inspired me.

James Dean

I imagine James Dean is a lot of people’s style Icon and may even be considered a cliché by some. Having said that I feel james dean has to be mentioned. He has been inspiring the work that I do since I began cutting hair.

The iconic pictures of james dean that we have all seen so frequently in men’s fashion often appear as though they could have been taken yesterday. He is the embodiment of a timeless male image, something I always try to recreate in my own work for my clients.

Having died at such a young age we never got to see James Dean’s style or acting career progress, however I believe he’d already cemented himself as the ideal male heartthrob of this century, even way before he passed away.
